My story with this song has been a long one already – it is a traditional folk song from the Rhodope mountains for which I once made a 3-voices and a double bass arrangement for Viktoria Nikolova’s Graduation Concert at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. It has a quite unusual rhythm combining 9 + 7 rhythmic units (8ths or 16ths). The gentle acoustic version has turned now in a rough 4/4 Rootz&Bass track featuring the angel voices of Viktoria Nikolova, Bilyana Grudanska, Julie Hasfjord and an artwork by Jenny Petrova
